Keep track of who's working on what by assigning team members to backlog items. By assigning specific users, you make it clear who is accountable for completing the task, whether it's addressing a customer issue, implementing a feature, or resolving a bug.
There are two ways you can assign a user to a backlog item:
Whilst creating a backlog item you can choose to assign a user by populating the Assignee field. This is where you can search and select a user in your team, to take ownership of this item.

So, you’ve created your backlog item, but you haven’t assigned anyone yet. Not to fear, you can do this by opening the backlog item and clicking on edit. From here you can update the Assignee field and add the user.
